My job isn’t hard. It really isn’t. But the fact that I have a problem doing it because our tech guy wants to go on vacation without solving it yesterday like I asked, upsets/frustrates/angers me. I’m ready to have a panic attack. The one day dude is in his office, he looks at my computer, looks at the printer, does two trials and then thinks it’s done when the trials didn’t even work.

Don’t go on vacation without fixing my problem, bro. I have THINGS to get done. More important than any few days off. Because my little easy job is part of what keeps everyone here. It keeps the ball rolling time after time. And while the rest of the house may not realize that, I know my department pulls a lot of the weight here. It’s upsetting. It’s the kind of under-appreciation that’ll drive anyone away.

But I guess that’s business. I still need my stuff fixed though. This is ridiculous.

Summer feels on a Spring afternoon

Being born and raised in Florida (for now 22 years), I should be beyond ready for 90 degree heat in the middle of April…but let’s be honest here, no matter how long you’ve lived here, the heat tends to swallow you up for give or take 10 months out of the 12. It varies from muggy in the mornings to dead hot in the afternoon or from to RIDICULOUSLY humid all day to chill in the evenings. Shoot, it might as well be just humid all day and night sometimes and that’s the height of the summer heat. Regardless, it blows. And I thought I’d just mention it because I’ll be here in the Swamp for let’s say a good 99.9999% of my summer.

But the upside of this is that I will most likely be staying with the UPF until summer and I’m stoked. Really blessed to have this opportunity and experience, even if sometimes it gets stressful and looney and might not make sense. I love it. Books aren’t dying, y’all. And I’m really glad to say that in the most minimal way possible I have a part in what we do here and it’s sweet. Absolutely love it.

Monday…currently dreaming of Santorini and summer nights to come.
Hope your Monday is running smooth!

My birthday is this weekend, and well I thought I’d just post my song for this weekend’s madness..

Because my co-worker tweeted it best “thursdays are connected to fridays,” and my dears, it’s thursday…just one day shy of my 22nd anniversary of life.

Thirsty Thursday..

I’m not really thirsty today…I had enough coffee for the morning to last me throughout the day..

It’s been a hectic week here and I can’t say it’s been all fun. More awkward than fun, really. But it’s grind time/Sales Kits Season/Spring ‘13 launch time. So it is what it is.

Tonight’s drinks will come much appreciated.

Terrible News of the Day:

Losing my little desk in the corner for the desk in the middle. Ciao awesome set up. You were cool while it lasted.

Monday, oh brother…

I’m back from my Spring Break and man oh man am I happy to be home, but oh brother, work is another type of madness. You’d be surprised how much e-mail is accumulated in a week span. And now it’s getting close to sales kits again, so you already know what the business is—MADHOUSE FOR A MONTH. Regardless, it was all good stuff (for the most part) and it’s all under control. So HA! Take that Monday!
